Policy Associate, Wildfire 

AWR is seeking a curious and rigorous Policy Associate, Wildfire to strengthen the organization’s policy research and analysis capacity. This position focuses on researching wildfire, land management, emergency management, and related policy topics and developing white papers, issue briefs, and other written products that inform AWR’s positions and support the broader wildland fire community. This position is fully remote and offers a salary range of $75,000–$85,000 annually plus benefits. This person brings 3 – 5 years of relevant experience. Senior Communications Associate

The AWR Senior Communications Associate will shepherd AWR’s newsletter, develop and steward organizational media channels, drive earned media strategy, and coordinate paid media and grassroots list activation with outside contractors. The role also works closely with policy staff and AWR’s Principal Researcher to translate substantive policy and research work into public-facing communications products.  This position is fully remote and offers a salary range of $90,000–$100,000 annually plus benefits. The ideal candidate has 4-7 years of relevant experience that combines strong writing and editorial judgment with experience developing communications strategy for a small organization, managing outside communications vendors, and working cross-functionally with policy and research staff.
